My dark blonde hair fades to red when dyed...?

My haircolor is naturally dark ashy blonde, and whenever, wherever, whatever color it is died, the color lasts for about 2 weeks if done in a salon, or one if i do it myself. It ALWAYS fades to a coppery/red NASTY color....regardless if it was darkened or lightened! I let it TOTALLY grow out, then had it darkened (professionally) only a few shades. Still, it faded coppery. I'm letting it grow out again, but i have roots that are ashy, and ends that are coppery. It only happens on dyed hair, my natural hair color has NO red or copper tints, totally ashy, and even when an ash dye/toner is used to try to correct the problem, it fades shortly too. I am totally confused because if it were my water, then when i moved it would have stopped, and also would affect my natural hair.

Is there anything i can do, without dying and ruining my natural roots growing in, to cover the copper? I'm thinking about tinting my gel...

I say just keep your natural hair color...

A rinse will cover up the colour. If you dye your hair again you need to change the brand of dye. Also your shampoo can cause your colour to fade quickly.
