i hate having blonde hair...firstly loads of people thing you stupid, and hairstyles generally look better with darker hair. when i'm redoing my avatar, i'm always looking at the brown hairstyles and thinking how much better they look. does anyone agree? and has anyone dyed their hair because of it?

I hated my blond hair, now I'm brunette. Being blond is being the punch line of too many dumb jokes. Brunette is beautiful, strong, and elegant. Blond seems playful, young, and ditzy. You can always dye your hair brown and go back to blond if you hate it!

I think everyone can at times wish to have something they don't. I have naturally light brown hair which I hate. So I've been dying it various shades of blonde since 5th grade.

frst off, u just want what u cant have. its animal nature. f 2 identical toy balls are placed infront of 2 dogs, one will make a move to get the ball, and the other will try to take it instead of gettng the identical ball n front of him. and reagarding hair styles, it is better to have blond hair when u are doing a fancy updo, becuase the shadows on dark hair totaly kill any style (like a braid, u hardly an c it ) like my hair, which is a solid dark brown, u need to do a LOT to it to get anything to look nice. plus, blondes in general have a better texture to work with than brunettes or red heads. so be HAPPY WITH WHAT U HAVE! and in terms of people thinkng ur stupid, work wth it. if you really are smart, they'll expect less from you, so you'll come off smarter than usual!

i hate being a blonde too people do think that sometimes and i find the more i try to be intelligent the more i mess up and i dyed my hair before its was brown and i got treated much better and even felt more intellectual i also hate having fair skin that gets sunburnt when everyone else has a nice sun tan

I have brown hair, which I like, but I also enjoyed streaking it blonde at times - what is important is whether a colour goes with your skin tones.

I bet lots of people are jealous of your beautiful blonde hair, probably the same ones who make the jokes.

I would tell you to experiment with colours if YOU want to, but not because of what other people say. I have a friend with dark hair who dyed it blonde some years ago, loved it, and kept it blonde ever since!

Just make sure you keep it in good condition.

I was born blonde and it started turning grey a couple of years ago. Not a lot of grey, but enough to where I didn't like it.

So, I now use Revlon Medium-Ash-Blonde #70

I've only used it once, but the color is not really blonde, it's more like a medium brown.

I'm not blonde, but I think natural blonde hair is beautiful.

That said, if you feel like a change, go for it. I'd advise you to find a nice, rich, chocolate-brown shade, and perhaps try it in a semi-permanent form, in case you don't like it.

As someone else mentioned, the crucial thing is to match the hair colour to your skin tone, and also take into account your eye colour. Most of the big hair dye manufacturers have tips on their websites.

Do remember that hair dye is not healthy; it's been linked to several nasty diseases including breast and bladder cancer.

The reason I mention this is because if in fact YOU like your blonde hair, don't go and dye it just because other people believe in stupid stereotypes.

What a shame that you've become so self-hating, luv. You should embrace yourself and the way you look rather than loathe it. If you don't, you'll never be truly happy with yourself and love yourself for who you are. Other people will sense that and will not want to be around you.

Is it the blonde jokes that are bothering you? Don't let them bother you. They're just jokes, and most are not funny, anyway. If people think you're stupid because of the assumption that all blondes are dumb, fine! They can believe what they want! YOU know the truth about your intelligence, and that's all that matters. You don't have to prove anything to anybody. Your true friends won't think you're stupid.

Here's some advice that I wish more people would take to heart: Just be yourself, because those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter.

If you want to dye your hair, that's up to you. But I wish it was for a different reason rather than loathing of your natural hair color. It's fun to experiment and change every once in a while.

You'll have to keep dying it if you despise your blonde hair that much. And if you're going to be dying it that often, especially when blonde roots come in, the chances of your having a hair dying mishap increase. It could turn a weird color, dying it too much could damage your hair, in some cases could actually make it fall out and you'll end up looking like me (heh heh).

Seriously, though, you were born a blonde and will likely remain one until you're an old lady when it will turn white most likely. So just embrace it! I'm sure there are some nice styles out there for you with your blonde hair. Just do a search or consult a stylist; he/she has the expertise to work with your natural color.

I have brown hair...I dye it blonde! People will only think you stupid if you let them or if you do actually act stupid. Dont let a stereo type control your life. I dye it blonde because I have curly hair and it gets oily fast and dying it blonde keeps my scalp from having an oily look.....and I like how I look as a blonde. i'm a natural light blonde and this year so far i've beeb red, auburn, dark brown and now back to blonde. i find my blonde hair washes me out but as my hair seems to grow so fast, it looks bad with dark hair and blonde roots. but yes, all the styles i like would look better dark. some people say that others spend a fortune to have hair the colour of mine, but think it's a little insipid!! oh well, you always want what you don't have!!
