I have dark blonde hair and want to get a light ash blonde colour! does anyone know any really good hair dyes to use to get a natural light blonde??

Hello, If you wish to go light blonde, First you need to choose a dye which suits you original hair colour. On the back of the packet,there should be a code, telling you which colour of hair this suits. If the colour it suits is lighter than your original hair then you can buy 1 packet, lighten it a few shades and go back the next week and buy another dye which suits your new shade to lighten it to your desired shade. This also ensures you wont go too light and can alter what way you want to dye it! Hope this helps!

Hair dyes react to everybody's hair differently... I'd speak to your hairdresser. I tried to bleach my blonde once and it went green! Turns out because I have a certain colour to my hair it will never bleach properly with shop brought dyes.

use this dye called "born blonde". it really strips your hair of the color. TRUST ME ON THIS because if you use any other kind, it WILL turn orange. mines stuck orange because i chose bad colors. if you strip all the color and then dye it the color you want, better results.

L'Oreal is the best make!! I would say Clairol is quite good though!! You should get a mesh kit, don't go for a block colour as it will look dyed, you want to be subtle...not too brash! Trust me, I got platinum blonde in my hair ....block colour.....it looked awful!! You need to be multi-tonal, natural, the way your hair would be! Consult a stylist! Toni and Guy have good hairdressers, but I find Peter Mark to be the best...if you have Peter Mark wherever you are!!

I use Clairol's Nice and Easy, number 101. Or maybe a lower number for you. My hair is naturally dark blonde too, and I'm now light baby blonde. And it looks natural. And you get a huge tube of conditioner that makes your hair smell and feel marvelous.
