I want to dye my hair blonde but...?

My hair is brown with a slight hint of golden in it, but mainly brown. I know that you can't dye your hair any lighter without it being permanent, so I'm a little nervous to do it. Can anyone recommend a good blonde hair dye, and please share any experiences with dying their hair blonde? Any tips? Thank you!

In order to achieve the Blonde that you wish , I strongly recommend that you go to a professional Hair Designer/Color Specialist.

It is not just a process of color in the hair, your hair would need to be bleached and toned, which is a two step process.

go to a salon. blond can f**k up your hair if you use a home kit and accidentally overprocess your hair. I speak from experience.

To lighten hair it is permanent.. to darken you can play with a few temp colors,, Try coloration's by Clairol,shine hints of color,,,, its at Sally's Beauty supply.. I suspect your hair is just dull and you want it to look shiny!

Choose a shade like medium blond at first. Then, if it's not as light as you want, choose a lighter shade the next time you dye, in about 6 weeks. Loreal or Nice N Easy are the best. They come with great conditioners

I would highly recommend doing it at a salon, blonde is very hard to achieve on your own (well a nice looking blonde atleast)...buttttt if you mustttttt do blonde urself, i would reccomend the hair dye caled "born blonde", it will actually make it blonde! most other products give you more of an orange color at the end (not cute) but once again i would say go to a salon

I think you should go to a pro that way you can get it the right color then after that if you don't want to spend the money you could probably dye your roots yourself. Just ask the person at the salon. My roots always come out the color on the box. I use Loreal Feria BTW.
