I have medium blonde hair, thinking of getting lowlights..what shade?

I have a medium blonde hair with some natural lighter and darker tones to it. I'm getting really sick of it, and in a couple weeks, I'm going in for a hair appointment. I don't think I want to completely dye my entire head of hair, but I REALLY want a few lowlights that are sort of underneath, so I wouldn't have to redo them often. What shade should I go for?

By the way, I have relatively fair skin with a small sprinkle of freckles and dark blue-grey eyes.

Hi there. Go for a light brown or an even darker blond. Just be careful, natural hair is the nicest color of all, dyed hair always looks worse, I know that from experience. Lowlights look quite unnatural. Keep in mind your hair tone and stick with it... warm/golden or cool/ashy.

I think a light, natural toffee brown color would look great on you. Check out Hilary Duff's current brunette shade for a great example. Her color is dramatic and dark, but not so much that it overpowers her fair complexion.

I would suggest going for a few chocolate tones, depending on the brand - something around the 6/7 or 7/7 these are such popular rich colours.

maybe get them to design a shape for under your hair for a easy maintainable look! very edgy things like a banana section goin diagonal from your ear to back of your head.

or a striking triangle that layers on to your face from undrneath! these look fantastic and you dont have to keep up with the regrowth.
