Removing red dye from Dirty blonde hair.?

I recently dyed my hair *******/red from Colour Rays (******* Flash? I think), however I only dyed the bottom part. I recently was hired at a restaurant this Monday and they told me the pink/red has to come OUT. I start working tomorrow and I cannot go in with any pink/red in my hair.

So I went to the cosmetology class at a vo-tech school and they bleached it (poorly shampoo got rid of more color at home) and then dyed it an almost black brown, but I can still see the red beneath it. So now I have brown, black, and red under my hair (base of my neck) and my natural dirty blonde hair everywhere else, Is it possible to remove all the artificial pigments and get back my blonde (even with dye) ?

Removing that much color is really really difficult. Normally as much as possible is removed iwthout damaging the hair, and often a color has to be put over the result. Do NOT do this at home. You've already had a lot of chemical damage. Tell the salon EXACTLY what you want and why - that you need a mature professional look, nothing funky or unnatural.

Go now because it will take a lot of time likely. And for the love of god don't go to a school for anything other than a trim, these girls have no experience at what their doing, that's why it's called a school..

Off to the salon with you.. and a good salon only. If you try one more attempt at something cheap, you'll likely destroy your hair. Oh, and pull it back for work, even put it up in a bun or twist, this will help hide more of the color. It tucks all the ends underneath.

I'm guessing maybe in the range of $75.00 for the work, based on what I pay around here. But again, DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF!!! Your hair is alerady really damaged by this.. You'll end up having to cut a lot of I suspect if you keep messing around. Only let a trained and seasoned professional do this. Ask the person at the desk who is their top stylist for this type of work. They should know what each stylist is best at. I like going to Trichos myself.

ASK YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!!

Red is the hardest color to get rid of. You'll fry your hair trying.

you can bleach the hair- go somewhere professional..... and then just dye it a natural tone.

I heard that red never comes out, even when you dye it another color, it still has those red undertones. But, as long as you "dilute" the red, it should be ok. Or, cut the bottom part off.

cut out the red/******* and dye your hair your self with quick dye, the one in the box

Uhm I guess bleaching it would get it out.. Or otherwise get a new haircut =)

Call a local hair salon, NOT THE SCHOOL. My mom went to a beauty school and sometimes the teachers will purposly let the girls make mistakes so that they learn how to fix them. I'm not sure if this is the case for you, but it sounds like your situation requires somebody who really knows what they're doing. You can ask a stylist if there is any way to fix it at home, or you can just ask her to fix it with color at the salon. She may just put lots of blonde in it or possibly dye your hair dark. Sometimes its hard for them to do anything, especially if its been only a couple weeks since you put the at-home color in it.

For future reference, you should aviod at-home box color at any cost! It's crappy, frys your hair, only looks good for about 2 weeks, and its the hardest thing to fix if something goes wrong.

DONT DO IT YOURSELF!!! lol I has the exact same situation, and I went to the salon, and instead of bleaching out my hair and killing it, They put a bunch of blonde/bleached foils in my hair, and you can just barely see little streaks of red, but it gives it a really nice look, lik e not all on e solid color, if you know what I mean. i was so happy with it, i definately recommend you do the same.(I had blonde hair which i dyed brown, then black, then red, so I had atons of different colors :S )

Normally I would give you advice on how to do it yourself....but this sounds a bit more complicated. If I were you I would go to a salon....not a beauty school. If you try to do anything else to your hair yourself you could end up damaging it even more. I think it would be worth it to pay someone who knows what they are doing. Especially if your new job depends on it.
