My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Ok, now that summer is here (yes!) I swim daily, which means my blonde hair is green! i can't stand it!

Does anyone have any cures? I've heard everything from tomato paste-to asprin+white vinager-to ketchup! bleck!

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

no

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

the only surefire cure is to stay out of chlorinated water.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Dye it blond

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

there are many hair products that help..u should go to the hair care store and ask the cashier

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

ha ha ha ha. wear a hat

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Hahahahaha

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

It,s the chlorine in the water that has done that, you need to neutralise it somehow

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Possibly too late now, but prevention is the trick next time. You need to get anti-chlorine shampoo - Ultraswim is the brand I've heard of before. Good phamacists and sports stores sell it. Competitive swimmers use it and it really works.

You could try and see if it takes the green away.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

im sorry but we have to cut it now lol

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

i don't know how to turn it back, mybe get a haircut or stop swimming everyday, but to keep it from getting green coat it in some conditioner and leave it in to go swimming (it'll act as a kind of sheild)

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

there is special shampoo you can buy for blonde hair in chlorine, I can't remember the name but my sister used it all the time.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

keep it green 'til St Patricks Day!!!!

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

you can buy shampoo's for this from your local chemist .try letting your bleech grow out that is the only thing to stop this problem completly.espcialy if you swim daily .p.s why did the blonde put the empty milk carton back in the fridge ? just in case any one wanted black coffee

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

yeah I've only heard the ketchup one. my highlights went green before, and it didn't work, so I just dyed my hair. only solution I can think of.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

ok just calm down lol there is a shampoo made for this you just have to find try beauty supply stores but in the future try this dampen your hair with water then put your regular conditioner in then put in a ponytail think of it this way blonde hair is the most porous hair it well soak up the first thing that gets on it so if it is full of conditioner it wont soak up the crap thats in the pool

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

buy a hat

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Hey- try a white, blue or red colored shampoo!! This should take the green out of your hair!! once the green is out use only clear or white shampoos for the rest of the summer!!

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

I think there is a special product on the market, for this problem. My friend got hers from Tesco, I believe both Morrison's and Asda sell it. It is in a tube, I am sure she said it works by taking the last lot of colour of your hair, it does work and is completely safe to use ...... good luck sweetheart. I hope you can get it sorted....

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

I can't remember what it's called (and I'm brunette!), but it's purple and it's available at all salons and a few department stores. It really helps take away the brassiness. Good luck.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

This happens to my daughter all the time. I always buy the Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three (usually about $20/bottle). Another one that is really good is called UltraSwim Shampoo. Its considerably cheaper at about $8.00 a bottle (CAD of course).

UltraSwim is available at local drug stores.

I hope this helps.

If a coating of tomato ketchup left on for 30mins doesn't help, then you should be able to get a shampoo from john frieda called sheer blonde. The entire range has purple tones which help to neutralise the brassiness in blonde hair and so may be worth a try.

If you have no luck, go to your hairdresser as they've seen it all before and will be able to help.

As to prevention, why not wear a swim cap? If you live in the UK, Boots have a fab range called sunswim and they do a great gelee which you coat your hair with before going for a swim. Good luck!!

You seem to have encountered some oxydising substance in the water. I would advise to see a hair specialist (not just a normal hairdresser) and if necessary also a doctor. Your body may have taken in chemical substances and this could be dangerous.

If you remember where you were swimming, it might also help to take a water sample and send it off for analysis.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Oh my Gawd, you're so unlucky!

My best mates a blonde, and that nce happened to her. We all called her lawn head for the whole summer, but she knew we were only joking!

She got rid of it by soaking it in a mixture of tomato ketchup and ... you'll never belive me when I tell you this! ... Fairy. Yep.

It worked. She got the recipe from her mum (who is a hairdresser!)

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

Try special blonde shampoo. I think it was called True Blonde or something like that. But I was told by someone who is blonde that it really worked on chlorine. I am blonde but I don''t go swimming often so I can't really help you from personal experience.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

wear a swimmin cap thingy wen u swim :S

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

get thee to a salon!! afterwards buy a shampoo that prevents this happening again! they're available to buy, also leave in treatments which also prevent the chlorine reacting with your colour.

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

I don't know about taking the green out, but I do know how to help prevent it. Before you go in the pool, soak your hair in regular water. Your hair will then absorb that water and won't absorb the chlorine water. There you go. Problem solved ;]

My blonde hair turned green-HELP!?

i am a brunette but I heard that tomatoe ketchup works a treat?
