I have dirty blonde hair and I recently dyed it black. Is it possible to change it back?

I don't know why, but I dyed my hair black and although I like it, I hate the upkeep involved in keeping my blonde roots from showing. I know it would damage my hair, but is there any way the color could be fixed? I'm thinking more along the lines of paying someone to do it for me. I know this solution probably doesn't come in a box at a drugstore. Someone help me?

I had the exact issue, but my hair was died red not black. Most likely they will have to "strip" the color and/or bleach it to get it all out. Then they re-dye it to a color as close as possible to the natural color. Make sure to go to a reputable salon, so they don't over do it. Too many color treatments (especially when they involve bleach) can fry your hair. You may have to do it in steps (i.e. live with the bleach blond look until your hair has recovered enough to take the new color).

Then get a good trim and conditioning treatment..

yes it is possible! i would recommend going to a professional hair stylist so they can do it properly and give you tips from damaging your hair! They can give you certain shampoos and conditioners to keep your hair healthy! from my personal experience i've had this done before and it works really well! its doesn't look like i ever changed my hair.

yes all you need to do is make a hair appoitment with a hair stylerist and have it belached but i would stay away from dying your hair if you dont know what your doing it could damage your hair bad so you look like a poff ball . good luck hope it works out for you

yea, i just got my hair to turn back to blonde my natural color after dueung it black for a year, i couldnt afford to go to a salon, so i had to do it at home, i went to walgreens and bought clariol maxi blonde it says itll take from black to blonde but i knew that was a lie, so iboughta box of light golden brown, i dyed my hair it did leave it dry and it turned out that my roots were almost white and the rest was ORANGE lol, so the nxt morning i used the light golden brown and it coverd the orange thank god. it wasnt a dark or med, brown either it turned out nice and light, so then a few days later i bought a bleach kit for highlights from wlamart and pulled my hair hrough the entire cap it turned out very very nice i love my hair now i dnt have to dye it for like2 mnnths =)

make sure to do a deep conditing treatment every week to help your hair from being dry, and it honestly didnt damage my hair to to much =)

Well first off your gonna wanna call around to local salons and discuss corrective color with the stylist, she or he will more than likely discuss bleaching it or using a mild color remover.. I have done this before myself ( i am naturally dirty blond also) and from personal experience i have to say get it done professionallyand get a deep conditioning treatment. Biolage has a great conditioning balm and joico has Kpak.

The chemicals in box color are absolutely terrible for your hair and a lot of times the color has expired! Sometimes leaving you with a color you really were not expecting.. Hope this has been helpful and good luck!
